The following video highlight reel is an amazing display of Buakaw’s powerful kicking abilities. He’s ability to strike using both hands and feet from any position makes him of the most devastating fighter in the K1 and Muay Thai circuit.
Sam’s Semi Final fight in The Contender ends with a loss to Sakio Bika, who ends up winning The Contender Serie 3 competition.
It was a great fight with Soliman landing some very heavy punches during their exchanges but still feel that Sakio Bika was the better fighter on the night.
He’re the fight video of the The Contender semi finals. What do you think of the results.
Former Kickboxer Sam “King” Soliman is fighting his way through the third The Contender Series in the USA. His unorthodox fighting style seems to be working well for him. I’ll be cheers the fellow Melbournian all the way to the finals. Good Luck Sam!
Sam’s first fight on The Contender series was against Max Alexander. Max’s height advantage proves to be a challenge in the earlier round for Sam but Sam quickly finds his rhythm and out works Alexander in the Clinch with some great upper cuts.
It is the cleanest looking fight but it’s entertaining.

I’m definitely looking forward to the upcoming Contender Asia series. The series is based on the US smash hit “The Contender”. The reality tv series took 16 professional boxers and had them face off each other until there was one fighter to claim the prize money as well as becoming the contender for a title fight.
Season 3 of “The Contender” series has Australia’s own Sam “King” Soliman, who is also a former kickboxer. While Sam will be slugging his way to boxing glory, 3 of Australia’s toughest muay thai fighters are about to make their reality tv debut in Contender Asia.
Keep your eyes out for John Wayne Parr, Bruce “the preacher” McFee and Soren Mongkontong, i wouldn’t be surprized to see either fighters in the finals.
